I Heart Faces Photo Challenge- "Week 24: All About Babies"

After a great shoot on Friday afternoon with a really sweet family, I was really excited to see that this week's challenge at I Heart Faces is "All About Babies".  This little cutie is 7 months old.  He was so much fun to take pictures of, and was completely content to sit in the grass (and look adorable) while I took pictures to my heart's content.  This is one of my favorites from the day.   Head on over to iHeartFaces to check out all of the other adorable entries!

I Heart Faces: Fix-It Friday #47

I have submitted photos several times for the weekly photo challenges over at 'I Heart Faces', but I have never joined in on the 'Fix-it Fridays'. Why? Because, I (gulp) don't use Photoshop. And it seems like everyone who submits "fixed" photos always goes through their step-by-step Photoshop process of how they turned an average photo into something beautiful.

Would my 'sub-par' photo editing software compete? Or would I not be taken seriously because I wasn't using Photoshop???

So with a leap of non-Photoshop software faith, here goes....

I Heart Faces: "Hands-On Fun" photo challenge

This week's theme over at I Heart Faces is "Hands-On Fun". I had a hard time choosing the photo for this week. I even had to post my top 8 picks on my Facebook page and asked friends to help me choose!

This photo is from a newborn photo shoot. Little Miss Amelia was only 6 days old in this picture. I love how completely comfortable she is in her parents' hands. And of course that little newborn smile just melts my heart!

"Sisterly Love"

This is my second time entering the 'I Heart Faces' weekly photo challenge. When I saw the theme for this week, I knew I wanted to submit this photo. This photo is special to me because it was taken last February and was my first newborn photo shoot ever! Thais was a wonderful little model for me! The thing I love the most about this shot is it wasn't staged at all. Big sister, Chloe, was very concerned that her new baby sister was okay. Throughout the time I was taking photos, she would come into the room to check on Thais. This photo was snapped during one of those times. It is also special that today is the day I am submitting this photo, because Thais' birthday is today! Happy Birthday Thais!

I Heart Faces: "We Are Family" photo competition

I have been following a blog for a while called "I Heart Faces". Each week they hold a photo competition, and this week I decided to finally enter. I am not sure I am even doing this right, but here goes!

This is a sweet family that I had the opportunity to work with this fall. I worked with the mom during college at a florist, and it was so much fun to meet her wonderful family. It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful place, with a beautiful family...it doesn't get much better!
